How we Charge

Our firm always carries out a conflicts check prior to taking on a new client in order to ensure that no professional reasons prevent us from acting. Once this has been cleared, clients will be asked to sign an engagement letter which outlines the level of service which the firm provides, as well as the basis upon which a client shall be charged for our work.

We charge on the basis of an hourly rate for the majority of the legal work which we carry out. These bills will be sent out at the end of each month. Rates vary depending on the seniority and experience of the fee earner involved. If the client wishes, we can also provide an estimate of our fees before the work commences.

Certain services will be undertaken on a fixed fee basis. In cases where one can clearly ascertain the scope and extent of the work, a fixed fee may be agreed upon.

To request supplementary information on fees, kindly speak to your Chetcuti Cauchi lawyer, or email us at your convenience.
