The Vanuatu parliament has approved amendments to the Vanuatu Citizenship Act, Chapter 112 of the laws of Vanuatu. This amendment makes it possible to introduce legislation to create a new option for investors applying for citizenship. This will enable the country's citizenship programme to offer a route to citizenship via a real estate option.

The Cypriot Government published amendments to the Cyprus Permanent Residence Permit (CPRP), which is a residence programme open to non-EU nationals investing in the Republic of Cyprus. This is the first amendment to the program since February 2016, and the third revision overall.
The Malta Permanent Residence Programme (MPRP) is open to non-EU/EEA nationals investing in Malta, granting them the right to reside in Malta and travel visa free within the Schengen Area. Applicants are required to invest in property, pay a contribution to the Maltese Government and make a charitable donation.

The newly elected President of the United States, Joe Biden has issued an executive order reversing the US Travel Ban imposed on a number of Muslim countries. The Citizenship by Investment unit of Antigua & Barbuda has advised that the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday 11th November 2020, agreed to amend the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Act of 2013 by broadening the definition of dependents.
