Antigua & Barbuda launches the UWI Fund

The Citizenship by Investment Unit of Antigua & Barbuda has announced the launch of a new fund which makes benefactors eligible for citizenship. The new fund is the University of the West Indies Fund. The University of the West Indies (UWI) was established in 1948 and is the largest and longest standing education provider in the Caribbean. The UWI serves the Caribbean region by offering high quality research and educational facilities across the Caribbean region. 

UWI Fund Option - Eligibility

The eligibility requirements of the new UWI Fund Option are the following:

  • The new UWI Fund investment option is only available for families consisting of at least six (6) members.
  • The required investment amount inclusive of government processing fees is of USD $150,000. An additional donation of USD $15,000 applies for each additional dependent.
  • Standard Due Diligence fees are applicable.

UWI Fund Option - Scholarship

Participation in such a fund entitles one member of the family to a one year scholarship at the University of the West Indies (UWI)

Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship - Benefits

The main benefits of obtaining citizenship in Antigua & Barbuda include:

  • Visa free travel to over 147 countries including the United Kingdom and the EU's Schengen Area
  • Citizenship is issued within a period of 3-4 months
