The Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis has recently announced a reduction in the government fees paid by applicants who opt for the Real estate option of the Citizenship by Investment programme.

Price Reduction in the St Kitts Citizenship by Investment Programme

On the 13th of February 2018 the Government of St Kitts and Nevis released a press release were the finance minister made public the decision to reduce the government fees from the Real estate option of the Citizenship by Investment programme as a response to concerns made by Real estate developers on the island-state.

The change was made so that a family of four are now charged US$75,000, rather than the US$125,000 it previously charged a typical family (US$50,000 for the main applicant, US$25,000 for a spouse and US$25,000 for each child under 18).
The press release reveals that the decision was made after several consultations with a number of real estate developers who represent a large number of members in the real estate market on the islands.
The cabinet continues the statement by reiterating that this reduction does not have any effect on the high standard of the St Kitts Citizenship by Investment Programme as it is still the ‘leading option for obtaining citizenship in the Caribbean’.
