Ukraine-Malta Cooperation Reaches New Level

Chetcuti Cauchi, leading professional services and law firm in Malta, took part in Ukrainian-Maltese Business Forum, which was held in Kiev, this week. As a part of the delegation, formed by the Maltese President’s Office, the company was involved in numerous official and B2B events aimed at fostering the economic cooperation between the states.

It is worth mentioning that this year has been full of important events bringing Malta and Ukraine closer to each other: the ratification of the Ukraine-Malta Double Taxation Agreement; the introduction of the EU-Ukraine visa-free regime, the formal part of which took place in Valletta; the establishment of Ukraine-Malta Business Council by the respective chambers of commerce… These are just some of the major developments!

Malta is known as a stable economy with strong banking sector and swiftly developing industries, such as IT, iGaming, aviation, yachting, pharmacy, and fintech, to mention just a few. A firm foundation has already been laid to trigger the interest of Ukrainian businessmen in Malta, and some key Ukrainian agricultural exporters and aviation companies are already willing to benefit from Malta’s strategic geographic position to boost their operations in North Africa.
